Harnessing the Power of Art

to Save our Oceans

Splashtrash art is made out of plastic trash collected from

oceans, rivers, lakes and other waterways.

The International SplashTrash ArtExpo is the first global platform for splashtrash artists to share and promote their work and connect with one another.

It is  largest and most diverse collection in the world

of this emerging new global art genre.

High school student experience splashtrash art.

Splashtrash art inspires dialogue and action around plastic in our oceans and what we can do to make a difference.

Creating art out of splashtrash transforms people into ocean pollution activists; sharing their art raises awareness and motivates action in others as well.

Splashtrash artists are some of our ocean's most valuable allies and advocates. They interact with and educate thosands of people scientists and environmentalists might not ever reach.

The International SplashTrash ArtExpo is the first global platform that honors, shares and promotes the art and activism of these unsung ocean heroes. It was design to:

Create a virtual platform for splashtrash artists to share and promote their work and connect with one another.

Illuminate, share and promote this art as both an inspiration for dialogue and action about plastic in our oceans and as an emerging global art genre worthy of exhibiting and collecting.

Entries range from ages seven-to-seventy,  from whimsical creatures made on a beach after a clean-up to larger-than-life installations. From people who have never made art to professional artists exploring a new medium.

Each artist is unique, yet they share a common passion - they want their art to raise awareness about plastic pollution in our waterways and inspire people to reduce their plastic

footprint.

Their stories are powerful and inspirational.

Their art is diverse, captivating, and provocative.

Stay tuned as more artists from

even more countries share their work!

Two-hundred seventy artists from 51 countries have entered the ArtExpo

and more are entering every day!

What people are saying about splashtrash art:

Splashtrash art creates a lasting impression. I believe it is one of the more effective ways to get to people...and change public policy."
